Here the frame closes until scale disappears. With no horizon and no recognisable object, the images in Texturas could be satellite views or microscope slides — and that indecision is exactly what the series is after.
Marmorizar, in three parts of 100 × 32 cm, treats stone as painting; Ilusion, four squares of 48 × 48, works as a polyptych; Seca and Extração record sand at the moment water abandons it. In Entranhas, from 2022, the rock appears cracked and taken over by roots: the mineral already in the process of becoming something else.
In the portfolios of 2024 and 2025 the series widens beyond sand: leaf skeletons against the light, flaking bark, a peeling wall, mushrooms on the forest floor and a shell laid over sandstone. The diptychs and triptychs set different materials side by side until they look like the same substance.
