Fluidity

2024 · 5 works

Fluidity is the interval between water and form. A drop caught in the curl of a tendril, another suspended in a web, another about to fall from a branch onto the dark green of the forest. These are images of the instant before the fall — the state in which matter has not yet decided what it will be.

The group also includes the movement of the camera, blurring a riverbank into a band of colour, and a lichen photographed so close it looks like coral. Fluidity here is not only liquid: it is everything in passage.
