One sentence by the artist organises everything seen here: “I see art in nature, in the angles caught of elements in transformation: transformed, or transforming.”

The series gathered on this site are states of a single investigation. Sand that changes shape with each wind, stone that splits open, water that returns the image inverted, a body stepping out of itself. In none of them does the photograph record a still object: it records something halfway between two states.

Photography is the starting point, not the limit. From the image the artist moves to stitching thread, cut paper, clay and her own body — and the most recent series, from Petricor to Water, show the same attention to matter forming and coming undone.
